At a gathering with friends, I heard somebody mention that they had a pickle margarita somewhere and I thought straight away that I would have to try this as well. So, at my next cocktail evening at home, I added to my usual margarita recipe some pickle juice.
As I like margaritas and pickles, it was a no-brainer for me. I approve.
Recipe:
45ml silver tequila
15ml triple sec
20ml pickle juice (not sweet)
30ml lime juice
Garnish: Gunmetal lime and cornichon
Method:
Chill the glass in the freezer for a bit or fill it with ice and water and toss it before you pour your cocktail.
Make salt rim by rubbing lime wedge onto the rim and dipping the rim into flaked salt.
Pour ingredients into a shaker and shake it properly for at least 10 seconds.
Pour your cocktail and garnish it with Mixso’s lime garnish.
Suggestions:
5-10ml sugar syrup can be added for sweetness
I used Always Fresh dill cucumber juice
Use fresh lime juice or fresh lime juice packets, not concentrate
