At a gathering with friends, I heard somebody mention that they had a pickle margarita somewhere and I thought straight away that I would have to try this as well. So, at my next cocktail evening at home, I added to my usual margarita recipe some pickle juice.
As I like margaritas and pickles, it was a no-brainer for me. I approve.
Recipe:
- 45ml silver tequila
- 15ml triple sec
- 20ml pickle juice (not sweet)
- 30ml lime juice
- Garnish: Gunmetal lime and cornichon
Method:
- Chill the glass in the freezer for a bit or fill it with ice and water and toss it before you pour your cocktail.
- Make salt rim by rubbing lime wedge onto the rim and dipping the rim into flaked salt.
- Pour ingredients into a shaker and shake it properly for at least 10 seconds.
- Pour your cocktail and garnish it with Mixso’s lime garnish.
Suggestions:
- 5-10ml sugar syrup can be added for sweetness
- I used Always Fresh dill cucumber juice
